Hrithik Roshan Pledges To Donate His Celebrated Eyes
The star of Kaabil has signed up to donate his famous light eyes at an ophthalmologist’s hospital in Wadala
When Hrithik Roshan made his Bollywood debut, some seventeen years ago, the ladies went gaga over his beautiful eyes.
And now, the handsome star, who is wowing audiences with his portrayal of a blind man in Kaabil, will donate his celebrated eyes.
According to reports, Hrithik pledged his eyes to his family ophthalmologist’s hospital in Wadala, on his 43rd birthday.
Hrithik had worked closely with the visually challenged while preparing for his role in Kaabil and that prompted his decision to pledge his eyes.

Dr S. Natarajan, the chairman and director of Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital, through which the actor pledged to donate his eyes, saw Kaabil and asked Rakesh Roshan, if Hrithik would pledge his eyes. He was surprised when he was told that Hrithik was already planning to do so.
And on January 10, his 43rd birthday, Hrithik walked in to the hospital and pledged to donate his eyes.
The doctor also had a long conversation with the star and told him about the plight of the millions who live without vision in the country.
After that conversation, Hrithik was so moved that he agreed to be part of a campaign that promotes eye donation. The endeavour will be aimed towards encouraging a million people to donate their eyes.
Hrithik joins a long list of Bollywood celebrities who have pledged their eyes. Late veteran actor Om Puri, Southern superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai are among the other names who pledged their eyes.
